Medical surgical nurse that specializes in the care of the Geriatric population. Clinical focus includes Heart disease, Diabetes, High blood pressure, Falls, Quality and Safety, Mobility, Delirium, Alzheimer’s disease, Dementia, and cognitive decline. Experience teaching in the classroom, lab, and clinical settings with a focus on student centered learning. Scholarly interest includes education on Delirium and restraint use in acute care hospital settings. Active committee member and facilitator of the Schwartz Rounds Program at Yale New Haven Hospital which offers healthcare providers an opportunity to openly and honestly discuss the social and emotional issues they face in caring for patients and families.
